With over 100 years experience...

Our permanent team have nearly 100 years combined experience on the estancia, so for them, the estancia is their home as much as their place of work. Whether it's Claudio, our talented chef, welcoming you into the kitchen to reveal his latest culinary creation, or Yoni, one of our skilled gauchos, impressing you with his expert horsemanship, each member of our team is eager to offer authentic and unforgettable glimpses of Argentine life.

Kevin begg

Kev! the boss. With Kevin's family roots in Argentina spanning more than four generations, his connection to both the land and its history runs deep. This rich heritage intertwines his family with the story of Argentina and the farm, creating a lasting bond that continues to shape life at Estancia Los Potreros today. Kevin has dedicated his life to preserving the estancia's rich heritage, balancing sustainable farming with authentic hospitality. Kevin's love for his horses, the estancia and its history, is evident in every aspect of the guest experience.

Georgia beech

Georgia, our general manager and head chef. Georgia first came to the Estancia age 19, as an assistant chef in the kitchen, thrown into the deep end, and quicky immersed into the estancia and the Argentine way of life. Like so many who have come here, she fell in love with the place, finding not only a new home, but a family. Now having been at the estancia for 8 years, she has undertaken virtually every job here, from chef, to riding guide, head of marketing and house manager. Her diverse experience allows her to expertly oversee guest care, ensuring every stay is personalized and unforgettable. Georgia is committed to making your time at the estancia as special as possible.

OUR GAUCHOS

Our dedicated team of gauchos has been an integral part of Estancia Los Potreros for four generations, working alongside the Begg family for over a century. Today, Yoni, Lucas, Pachi, Tommy, and Franco proudly carry on this tradition, with their families deeply intertwined with Kevin’s. Gauchos hold a vital place in Argentine culture, embodying the heart and spirit of the estancia, where their skills and knowledge are central to the day-to-day operations and the authentic experience we offer our guests.

From expertly herding cattle on horseback to maintaining the land and sharing their profound connection to the Argentine countryside, the gauchos bring a rich sense of history and craftsmanship to everything they do. Their unique blend of tradition and expertise allows our guests to witness and participate in the gaucho way of life, whether it's riding alongside them, learning about horsemanship, or enjoying an authentic asado prepared with their hands. The gauchos' warmth, dedication, and unmatched skill truly bring the essence of Estancia Los Potreros to life.

Our Chefs

Claudio, Vivi and Georgia have now been the backbone of Los Pots Kitchen for 15 years.

Our talented chefs bring the rich flavours of Argentina to life, crafting delicious, farm-to-table meals that highlight the best of local ingredients. Each dish is a celebration of Argentine traditions, prepared with care and creativity. Whether it's a hearty asado or a gourmet twist on a regional classic, our chefs take pride in delivering unforgettable culinary experiences that perfectly complement your stay at the estancia. Whether you are hand-making raviolis with them for dinner or gathering by the parrilla for an asado or pizza night, their warmth and skill make every meal a memorable part of estancia life. Their passion for cooking has turned the kitchen into a central hub of guest enjoyment and connection.

our guides

Each year, Estancia Los Potreros welcomes four to five guides from around the world who quickly become an integral part of our team. Guiding here is a truly one-of-a-kind experience, offering the chance to immerse oneself in Argentine culture, learn a new language, and live the authentic gaucho way of life. Though our guides change seasonally, we've been fortunate to always have warm, engaging personalities that bring an extra spark to the estancia.

Our guides are more than just riding partners, they’re also your companions throughout your stay. Whether accompanying you on horseback with our skilled gauchos, ensuring you have a drink in hand during meals, or sharing stories and answering your questions, they’re here to make every moment enjoyable. Passionate about horses and hospitality, our guides are always eager to share their love for the estancia and help create lifelong memories for our guests.

"All the staff were friendly and helpful but none more so than the owners/hosts. They made us so welcome, eating and riding with us, sharing their love for the country and sharing their dogs!"
